High-stakes conversations
Conveying meaning, tone and intent
In a hearing, a negotiation or a medical consultation, an approximation is expensive. My job is to render faithfully what is said — including what is culturally implicit — without ever becoming the centre of attention, and to flag a misunderstanding before it takes hold.
I work in consecutive and liaison interpreting, on site anywhere in France or remotely by video, telephone or WeChat.

Formats
- On-site consecutive interpreting — for face-to-face meetings, hearings and small groups. The most reliable format wherever legal or contractual stakes are involved.
- Remote liaison interpreting — Zoom, Teams, telephone or WeChat, with a technical test beforehand. No travel costs and far more flexible scheduling.
- Full-day accompaniment — half day or full day with terminology preparation and a cultural briefing in advance, for visits, trade fairs and business trips.
Why preparation changes the outcome
Much of an interpreting assignment is decided before the meeting begins. The more you share in advance — agenda, slides, case documents, participant profiles, internal terminology — the more precise and fluid the interpreting will be. All material is covered by professional secrecy, and a non-disclosure agreement can be signed on request.
Pricing
Half-day or full-day rates for on-site assignments, hourly rates for video calls. Travel and accommodation are rebilled at cost. Details on the pricing page, with a firm quote before you commit.
Frequently asked questions
Do you travel for assignments?
Yes, anywhere in France, with travel and accommodation costs rebilled at cost. For shorter or more urgent meetings, remote interpreting over video, telephone or WeChat avoids those costs and can often be arranged the same day.
Consecutive or simultaneous interpreting?
In consecutive interpreting the speaker pauses to let the interpreter render what was said. That is the right format for hearings, interviews, meetings and negotiations, and it is what I provide. Simultaneous interpreting from a booth requires a team of two and dedicated equipment; for that setup I can refer you to specialist colleagues.
What do you need in order to prepare?
Anything you can share: agenda, names and roles of participants, slides, contracts or case documents, internal terminology. The better the preparation, the more precise and fluid the interpreting. All material is covered by professional secrecy.
